In this Phosphor tutorial, we introduce a simple yet powerful tool to recognize and reward your community members for their online engagement: the Proof of Online Participation token. Whether it's attending an online event, participating in a webinar, responding to a survey, or engaging in any other form of online participation, this recipe allows you to offer a unique token as a reward.

With the Proof of Online Participation recipe, you can easily create a digital token that participants can claim, proving their involvement in your online activities. Setting it up is straightforward—just provide a single piece of art, and the wizard will take care of the rest. You'll receive a link to a claim page that you can share during your event or activity, allowing participants to easily claim their token.

Key features include:

  • Ease of Use: Simply upload a piece of art, and the wizard generates the claim page for you.
  • Non-Transferrable Tokens: These tokens are unique to each participant, ensuring they can prove their participation.
  • No Gas Fees for Recipients: Participants can claim their token without worrying about any costs.

This tutorial will guide you through the steps to create your Proof of Online Participation token, helping you recognize and reward the engagement of your community members in a meaningful way. Let’s get started!

1. On the Phosphor Dashboard, select the recipe called “Proof of Online Participation”

2. Read or acknowledge the introductory message

3. Add your claim details

  • Upload the artwork: JPG, GIF, PNG, MP4 formats are recommended and the file should be less than 50MB.
  • Choose a title for your collectible.
  • Add a description to your collectible (optional).
  • Name the event you would like to reward your community for attending (optional). This will be added as a trait in the collectible’s metadata.
  • Describe the audience to provide more information on the intended recipients of the proof of online participation (optional). This will also be added as a trait in the collectible’s metadata.

4. Schedule your claim

  • Set up the claim window start date: choose between starting as soon as the claim is activated, or setting up a custom date and time. The timezone is automatically synced with that of the device you are using.
  • Set up the claim window end date: choose between a common window (1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 1 month) or a custom date and time.

5. Review the drop information, select the network of your choice, and agree to fund the cost of deployment from your account balance

6. Share your claim via link, socials, or QR code

Select “Share” and you can choose one or more of the following options:

  • Copy the claim site link: you may copy the link to the claim page to share it by email or on socials.

  • Share claim site QR code: download a QR code that leads to the claim page or copy the link to the page that displays the QR code. The QR code is quite useful to share in real life by displaying it on a mobile device.

  • Share on X: make sure that you are logged in X before selecting this option. This should automatically create a post on X with a link to the claim page.

  • Cast in Warpcast: make sure that you are logged in Warpcast before selecting this option. This should automatically create a mint frame for your "claim" in Warpcast. See instructions below:
